Procurement Project Manager
Join our dynamic team of Project Managers dedicated to supporting capital investment initiatives. Our projects aim to enhance manufacturing capabilities through comprehensive sourcing, efficient contract management, precise engineering services, strategic equipment procurement, and effective construction works.
This position involves managing projects with budgets from 300k to 100 million. A typical day requires overseeing engineering studies, defining project scopes, and ensuring the successful completion of each phase. You will also be responsible for contracting and supervising engineering firms, guaranteeing that projects are delivered on schedule and meet productivity standards.
- Must have: Expertise in engineering, construction, and equipment procurement within a pharmaceutical setting, strong project management skills, and the ability to operate independently with a structured approach.
- Nice to have: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related fields, familiarity with CAPEX projects, and a knack for process improvement.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and French is essential as it facilitates effective communication within diverse project settings.
- The role is full-time with limited opportunities for homeworking, requiring on-site presence several days weekly to oversee critical project phases.
We are looking for candidates who are motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent management skills to join our team as Procurement Project Managers. Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong foundation in engineering, construction, and equipment procurement, preferably gained within a pharmaceutical environment.
The successful candidate will have a solid track record of 3 to 8 years in project management, showcasing their ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex project scopes, and deliver on deadlines effectively. They should demonstrate an aptitude for autonomous work and decision-making while maintaining a structured approach to enhance productivity and performance.
We particularly value candidates who possess the following qualifications and personal qualities:
- Industry Experience: Prior experience within the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable, along with familiarity with Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for sharing experiences and providing mentorship within the team.
- Innovative Mindset: An aptitude for identifying areas of process improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Multilingual Capabilities: Proficiency in both English and French at a professional level is necessary to succeed in this role.
While the role predominantly requires on-site presence, limited homeworking options are available. We seek individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting and are prepared to be on-site several days a week to closely collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
